Community Band Concert
MONDAY, MARCH 7th ... 7:30 PM
Rocori High School Auditorium

Special Guests: The Paramount Jass Band

With the support of Cold Spring’s 2020 Vision Team and Royce Nies and Nies Investment Group, the Paramount Jazz Orchestra will be performing at the Community Band’s first concert on Monday, March 7th at 7:30pm at the Glanville Smith Auditorium at Rocori High School in Cold Spring. The PJO is the best jazz band in the state if not the upper mid-west. Made up of talented musicians from the St. Cloud and Cold Spring area, the PJO will heat up the stage with their awesome styling of new and familiar jazz standards that will have you swinging.

Of course, you’ll also be treated to the first concert by the talented musicians that make up the Cold Spring area’s first Community Band as they perform under the direction of Jason Koets. A variety of music will be heard, but most pieces will take you away from the cold winds and snow of March to fun in the sun in the tropics. Tickets are available at the door or at the front desk of 1st National Bank in Cold Spring and are only $5 each. Additional donations will be accepted to fund the community band’s future appearances. Support the arts and history in the making as the area’s musicians provide you with a great evening of musical entertainment. Clear your calendars now and bring the whole family to attend the first concert of the Cold Spring area’s Community Band and the area’s finest jazz band - the Paramount Jazz Orchestra on Monday, March 7th at 7:30pm at the Glanville Smith Auditorium at Rocori High School in Cold Spring.

All musicians in the area are welcome to join the group at our next rehearsal on Tuesday at 7 pm the Rocori High School Band Room in Cold Spring. Jason Koets, director of bands at Rocori, is directing the band in a variety of music that is fun and enjoyable to play.

Director Jason Koets

Music is a life-long skill and the Community Band is an opportunity for people of many ages and abilities to continue playing their instruments or to take it up once again. There are many musicians in the area and a community band is a great opportunity to get together for a few weeks and play. Musicians come from Cold Spring, Richmond, Rockville, and Kimball.

All are welcome to join us in making music. Get out your instrument and join us in the band room at 7pm on Tuesday evenings. For more information or to sign up, call Val Hollermann at 685-4413 or Rocori Community Ed at 685-8631.
